Bill Ford is a Founder and Managing Partner of Grantham Capital and has over twenty years of experience investing across the capital structure in middle market companies. Investments have included early and late stage growth equity, buyouts, mezzanine and senior and subordinated debt. He has acquired and supported the growth of businesses in the healthcare, business services, specialty consumer, light manufacturing and information technology markets.

Most recently, Bill was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of MCG Capital, a publicly traded middle-market investment firm, where he invested debt and equity across a range of industries and served on the firm's Credit Committee. During this period Bill led and managed investments totaling in excess of $530 million and served on the board of several middle-market portfolio companies. Prior to MCG, Bill was a Managing Director at Perseus L.L.C, a middle market private equity fund managing approximately $1.3 billion of capital. While at Perseus, Bill negotiated and structured investments in private and public companies ranging from early stage growth equity to middle market buyouts and served on the board several growth equity and buyout portfolio companies. Prior to Perseus Bill was a Vice President at Butler Capital Corporation; a New York based middle market private equity and mezzanine investment fund and earlier in his career he was a Manager in the consulting practice of Price Waterhouse and also worked as a financial manager for General Electric and graduated from GE's Financial Management Program.

Bill earned a B.S., cum laude, from St. Lawrence University, where he majored in chemistry, and holds an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
